Background

-A heritage reissue of the workwear of quarry laborers from the iconic Rouge du Languedoc marble region in early 1900s France - once France’s most prestigious royal quarry, the site at Caunes-Minervois, Aude yields marble with vivid orange-red to deep red hues and bold white veins, also known as French Red Jasper

-The original white workwear stood out clearly in the reddish-brown quarry, over years of labor, mud staining and stone friction created a natural mud-dyed, stone-washed finish. The reissued piece honors both the natural art of marble and the fearless quarry workers

About 「TEZUKURI DOROZOME」\

Japanese handmade-mud-dyeing, known in Japanese as "tezukeri dorozome", is a traditional dyeing craft from Amami Oshima, Kagoshima. It uses iron-rich local mud and plant tannins to transform silk or cotton from reddish brown to deep black, creating rich, warm hues and a distinctive luster. The process is labor-intensive, involving multiple dips, drying cycles, and long production times, resulting in unique color variations and textures for each piece

About 「CHIJINRIKI DOROZOME series」

In this "CHIJINRIKI DOROZOME series", the traditional Japanese mud is replaced with mud from Mali, Africa, to achieve an unconventional shade and further enhance the individuality of every garment
