Design Inspiration

Inspired by the Lee's first-generation 101 Single Ear Jacket. Early denim jackets were known as "Pioneer Coats," designed with practicality in mind, without the delicate embellishments of modern fashion. The silhouette follows the style of Western cowboy jackets, featuring a short length and a slightly relaxed fit. It provides ample room for movement in the shoulders and chest, with rugged and bold lines. The retro design offers versatility in styling, allowing for different looks based on the chosen size.  Fabric Details

This batch uses reproduction White Oak fabric, replicating the fabric based on its bamboo detailing and dyeing process. The fabric adopts the classic delicate bamboo texture of White Oak, with the original indigo dyeing technique and antique red selvedge weaving, resulting in a soft and natural fading effect.

Crafting Details

This jacket is meticulously crafted to replicate the construction of Lee 101 from its early years. The exclusive thread used for stitching is custom-developed and sourced from the renowned AE thread factory in the United States. The sewing techniques employed in the production faithfully recreate the craftsmanship of Lee 101 from its original era. Custom-made YKK buttons from Japan are used, replicating the distinctive style of Lee's copper rivets.

Wash Details

Classic vintage stone wash with a soft, faded look reminiscent of the original era. It has that worn-in charm without appearing dirty, making it a timeless and versatile piece. The base fabric is made of authentic raw denim, which can develop its own unique fades over time. Building upon this foundation, the jacket is given a remake through the process of stone washing. During the washing process, volcanic stones are added, creating friction against the fabric as it rotates in the machine. This natural abrasion effect achieves a beautifully worn-in appearance. The reproduction of the white oak fabric showcases its signature delicate bamboo-like texture after the stone wash, resulting in a gentle and seamless transition of fades.
