Design Inspiration
This jacket is the Dark Side of the Moon Commemorative Edition. The commemorative edition features a denim fabric with a classic colorful face double-dyeing technique.
Fabric Details
The fabric is composed of four tones: Suoku (a faded brown), Kuchinashi (a pale yellow), Tadeai (a light blue), and Take Midori (a bamboo green). The weft yarn is intricately dyed in a complex pattern, resulting in varying depths of color in each segment. The fabric utilizes a refined bamboo texture in white oak, and the dyeing process follows the traditional method using INDIGO dyed ropes in a vintage red border weave, creating a soft and natural color fade.
Crafting Details
Adhere to the traditional sewing techniques of vintage denim. Different thread sizes and densities are used for sewing based on the different stress points of denim garments during wear. All the threads used in this jacket, including the stitching and denim thread, are customized and developed by the renowned American thread manufacturer, AE Thread Company, based on samples from the original year. The hardware components are sourced from the Japanese YKK factory's UNIVERSAL Precision series, featuring antique brass rivets and copper laurel buttons with an oxidized tin finish for an aged appearance.
